Nollywood actress Georgina Onuoha has strongly criticised Senator Ned Nwoko following his recent allegations accusing his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, of drug abuse.
The controversy began after a statement allegedly released by Nwoko’s media team dismissed claims of domestic abuse and instead suggested that the accusations were meant to divert attention from what they described as Regina’s long-standing health and behavioural concerns.
According to the statement, the senator’s team claimed that independent toxicology reports indicated the misuse of multiple substances. They added that concerns about Regina’s wellbeing had been raised privately several months before the issue became public. The media team further stated that Nwoko had encouraged professional help, including therapy and structured rehabilitation, long before the matter escalated online.
They also clarified that financial restrictions reportedly imposed by the senator were intended to curb harmful behaviour and not as a form of punishment. The team insisted that a message allegedly sent in October reflected frustration and an attempt to push for continued professional support, rather than any form of violence.
Reacting to the statement, Georgina Onuoha took to her Instagram page with a lengthy post condemning Ned Nwoko’s actions and what she described as a sustained online campaign against Regina Daniels.
According to the actress, the senator’s conduct mirrors that of a “malignant narcissist,” stressing that his public behaviour is disturbing and unbecoming of a man in his position. She argued that it is, in fact, Ned Nwoko who urgently needs psychological rehabilitation, not Regina.
Georgina expressed concern over what she described as a public smear campaign against a young woman, noting that Regina reportedly entered the relationship at a very young age and has since matured and chosen to walk away from what she considers a toxic situation.
She further alleged that Regina voluntarily submitted herself to independent drug testing abroad and was cleared, insisting that poor judgment should not be equated with drug addiction. Georgina warned that the continued character assassination, intimidation, and public pressure could have dangerous consequences.
The actress concluded by calling on Ned Nwoko to leave Regina alone, adding that if anything were to happen to the young actress, responsibility should be placed where it rightly belongs.
