Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria after spending several weeks on vacation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Ganduje arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Saturday at about 4:30 p.m. via an Emirates Airlines flight, before travelling onward to Abuja later that evening.
Following his return, the former APC chairman is expected to commence a series of consultations and stakeholders’ engagements focused on recent political developments in Kano State.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, who noted that the planned meetings would involve extensive discussions with party leaders and key stakeholders to assess the evolving political situation in the state.
According to the statement, the consultations are aimed at reviewing current political trends and strengthening dialogue within the party.
Garba also revealed that Ganduje will participate in the ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration (e-registration) exercise of the APC. The initiative, which was introduced during Ganduje’s tenure as national chairman, is intended to modernise the party’s membership database, improve internal planning, and ensure accurate and accessible records.
The statement further stressed that Ganduje remains committed to reinforcing party structures and promoting inclusive engagement to support democratic growth within the APC, particularly in Kano State.
