Popular Nigerian TikToker, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has confirmed that he has ended his relationship with his girlfriend and fellow content creator, Jarvis.
Naija News reports that the confirmation comes barely two weeks after Peller was involved in a controversial car crash, which he later revealed was a deliberate attempt to end his life following threats of a breakup from Jarvis. He was subsequently hospitalised and later arrested by authorities in line with existing traffic laws.
Speaking during a TikTok livestream on Thursday, January 1, 2026, Peller disclosed that he and Jarvis are no longer in a romantic relationship and have decided to remain friends. He also appealed to netizens to refrain from bullying or attacking anyone over the situation.
According to him, he has apologised to Jarvis’ family and they have since forgiven him, although his former girlfriend requested that they both give each other some space for now.
He said, “Jarvis and I have officially broken up. For now, we’re just friends. We kindly ask everyone to respect our decision. She’s my friend now, please don’t bully anybody.
“I have spoken with her family. I begged them to forgive me. They were angry at first but later forgave me. We’re still friends, but she asked that I disappear for now.”
Meanwhile, Peller had earlier tendered a public apology to Nigerians following the car crash on the Lekki-Epe Expressway. In a post shared on Instagram, he expressed deep remorse over the incident and apologised to his fans and the general public.
The TikTok star admitted that emotional pressure from his personal life, combined with the pain of his recent breakup, clouded his judgment and nearly cost him his life. He once again urged the public to stop bullying Jarvis, stressing that the entire issue was not about her.
