Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has called out fans and industry colleagues for what she describes as insensitive behavior following the death of actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola.
According to reports, Bakare expressed disappointment over how people who claim to be close to the late actress quickly returned to social media, creating content, going live, and receiving gifts shortly after the tragic news broke.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote in pain and disbelief, stating that instead of showing respect, many were seemingly more concerned about staying active online.
“The way fans and colleagues are creating contents with the passing of our dear sister is really sad 😔. Anyway God is watching everyone. Rest well Allwell. Still in shock, some of her very close pals even still opened TikTok yesterday, doing Tap Tap, busy playing games and collecting gifts! Haaaaa!!! Aiye le ooo!”
She accompanied the post with a caption urging people to tag those she was referring to:
“If you know them, tag them, ko da o 🥲.”
The late Allwell Ademola passed away on Saturday, December 27, at age 49. She was reportedly rushed to Ancilla Hospital in Agege but sadly did not make it.
Allwell had a long-standing career in Nollywood, starring and producing movies across both the Yoruba and English sectors of the industry, earning her a respected name and legacy.
