A pastor of the Living Faith Church, popularly known as Winners’ Chapel, who was abducted by gunmen along the Oke-Offin, Kabba/Bunu axis in Kogi State, has been released.
The cleric, who was kidnapped on Friday, December 27, 2025, reportedly regained his freedom after spending several days with his abductors. He was discovered unharmed in Aiyetoro Gbedde, located in Ijumu Local Government Area, where he was abandoned by the kidnappers.
According to community platform Egbe Mekun, no ransom was paid to secure his release.
Sources quoted by SaharaReporters confirmed that the pastor is in stable condition and is expected to reunite with his family soon.
How the Abduction Happened
The incident occurred while the pastor was reportedly heading to his farm in Oke-Offin. He was travelling on a commercial motorcycle when armed men intercepted them on the road.
The motorcycle rider was able to flee the scene without injury, while the pastor was whisked away to an undisclosed location.
Earlier reports also noted that on sighting the kidnappers, the pastor attempted to jump off the motorcycle before being captured by the gunmen.
