A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has revealed that a significant number of All Progressives Congress (APC) members are unhappy with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Momodu shared his views on Monday during an X Space session titled Avrilsspace: The Electoral Mathematics for 2027, responding to questions from listeners.
He expressed concern about the direction in which the Tinubu-led APC is steering the country, suggesting that even some of the party’s close allies privately admit their dissatisfaction.
“I believe that the average Nigerian must be worried about the direction that APC and its leadership is leading us. There are many cronies making decisions behind the scenes. Even among them, the majority of my friends, when engaged privately, admit they are not happy,” Momodu said.
He added that while some may publicly praise Tinubu, the reality behind closed doors is often very different.
“Many so-called fanatics who publicly swear by your mandate will privately tell a different story. This pattern isn’t unique to Nigeria — it happens with leaders everywhere. People hope that something will benefit them personally while the leader remains in power,” Momodu explained.
His comments highlight internal frustrations within the ruling party ahead of the 2027 elections.
