The estranged husband of Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, Fisayo Olagunju, popularly known as MC Fish, has finally spoken out about the collapse of their marriage, addressing claims surrounding his profession and his contributions to the union.
According to Naija News, MC Fish made the clarifications in a series of posts shared on his Instagram Stories on Saturday. He disclosed that Anita Joseph was the one who initially showed interest in him, noting that their interaction eventually led to marriage.
The entertainer dismissed allegations that he was unemployed or financially dependent on his estranged wife during their marriage. He emphasised that he has earned a living as a master of ceremonies and hypeman for over 15 years.
MC Fish also refuted claims that Anita Joseph solely handled all financial responsibilities throughout their five-year marriage, insisting that he worked for his money and contributed significantly to the household.
Defending his profession, he criticised the negative perception often attached to hypemen, pointing out that many of those who belittle the craft still hire hypemen for their events and parties. He added that if there was no future in his line of work, Anita Joseph would not have agreed to marry him in the first place.
According to him, he has always focused on his career and avoided public drama but felt compelled to respond to what he described as false narratives. He warned that continued misinformation could push him to reveal details he has deliberately kept private.
MC Fish further urged critics to show respect for his profession, stressing that hypemen play a major role in entertainment events and deserve recognition for their craft.
